It has become more necessary and popular for public and private sector organisations to recognise the important contribution that artists can make within the broader business community. With various demands put forward by an increasingly knowledgeable consumer market aspects such as sustainability and collaboration must be taken into consideration when developing and implementing new art related programs. In order to be effective, the designers of such projects need cultural knowledge, an awareness of arts policies at a regional, national and international level, combined with organisational and marketing skills.
